Mikel Arteta Confirms Bukayo Saka Will Miss Everton Match Following Quad Injury
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is set to miss Saturday's Premier League match against Everton due to a quad injury sustained during Wednesday's Champions League fixture.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta confirmed on Friday, October 23, 2026, that Bukayo Saka will miss Saturday's Premier League fixture against Everton at the Emirates Stadium. The England winger was forced off just 10 minutes into Arsenal's 2-2 Champions League draw against Bayern Munich on Wednesday due to a quad injury.
Arteta revealed that Saka underwent a secondary MRI scan due to fluid accumulation, explaining the seriousness of the situation. "When a player has to walk off the pitch, he's struggling to walk without any pain, he's restricted to movement, they are not good signs," Arteta stated during his press briefing. Specialists are currently assessing the full extent of the injury, with initial reports suggesting the winger could miss between six weeks and two months of action.
