Jamie Carragher names Arsenal title favorites despite lack of superstar attacking power
Sky Sports analyst Jamie Carragher maintains that defending champions Arsenal are the team to beat in the Premier League despite lacking an elite attacking superstar.
Speaking on Sky Sports, football analyst Jamie Carragher maintained that defending champions Arsenal remain the "team to beat" in the Premier League title race. Following Arsenal's 1-0 victory away at Nottingham Forest, Carragher noted that Mikel Arteta's team continues to secure positive results without possessing an elite focal point in front of goal.
"There's still no superstar in Arsenal's attack," Carragher observed during the broadcast, while identifying center-back William Saliba as arguably the club's only world-class player. Despite pointing out the missing star power in attack, Carragher concluded that Arsenal's defensive stability and overall squad depth keep them ahead of rivals Manchester City in the race for the Premier League crown.
