Erling Haaland Stars with Double as Manchester City Beat Ipswich Town 3–2
Manchester City extended their winning streak to seven matches with a 3–2 win over Ipswich Town, though Erling Haaland limped off after scoring twice.
Manchester City maintained their perfect start to the Premier League season on Saturday, October 17, 2026, earning a 3–2 victory over Ipswich Town to make it seven consecutive wins and stay top of the table. Erling Haaland led the line magnificently, scoring two goals to anchor the Champions' attack. City manager Enzo Maresca shuffled his starting eleven by making six changes, which featured 19-year-old Ayyoub Bouaddi receiving his first Premier League start alongside Phil Foden, Matheus Nunes, and Mateo Kovačić.
However, concern arose following the final whistle when Haaland walked straight down the tunnel limping, leading to questions regarding a possible injury. Addressing reporters about the Norwegian striker's condition, Maresca played down major fears, stating: "I asked him. He said that he was okay. So hopefully, it's nothing serious."
