Real Madrid Demands Immediate Resignation of La Liga President Javier Tebas
Real Madrid CF has issued an official statement demanding the immediate resignation of La Liga president Javier Tebas following his contentious social media comments.
Real Madrid CF issued an official statement on October 16, 2026, demanding the immediate resignation of La Liga president Javier Tebas. The Spanish club's firm response arrived following social media comments by Tebas in which he compared Real Madrid TV's criticism of match referees to propaganda techniques used by Joseph Goebbels in Nazi Germany.
In their official release, Real Madrid described Tebas's remarks as "absolutely intolerable and extraordinarily serious," asserting that such statements demonstrate a total "lack of neutrality, respect, and impartiality incompatible with his institutional responsibilities." The club further noted that this incident marks "yet another episode in the repeated attacks by Javier Tebas against Real Madrid, its president, and its media outlets."
