Tonight's Preview: Leaders France Host Belgium and Italy Face Türkiye in Nations League Matchday 4
France (7 points) host Belgium (6) at the Stade de France tonight, Monday, October 5, while Italy welcome pointless Türkiye in Bologna. Upamecano is suspended, Mbappé is a doubt, and reports say De Bruyne and Tielemans miss out for Belgium. Stadiums, kick-off times and referees inside.
Monday, October 5, 2026 brings Matchday 4 of the UEFA Nations League, and Group A1 has the two headline fixtures: leaders France host second-placed Belgium, while Italy welcome bottom side Türkiye.
France go into the night top of the group with seven points from three games, one ahead of Belgium on six. Italy have four and Türkiye none. France won 1-0 in Brussels a week ago through a late Michael Olise goal, and Olise scored again in Friday's 1-1 draw with Italy. Dayot Upamecano is suspended after his red card in that match. Kylian Mbappé is a doubt: reports describe a knee problem, with Sports Mole listing him as out and Goal saying his availability is still to be confirmed. For Belgium, reports say Kevin De Bruyne — who scored twice in the 3-0 win over Türkiye — and Youri Tielemans are both suspended.
Italy, coached by Roberto Mancini, lost their opener to Belgium but then won 4-1 in Türkiye and drew in Paris. Türkiye are without the suspended Arda Güler, and Sports Mole also lists Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Kenan Yıldız as injured.
